Rector: Revd Luke Maguire
Revd Luke originally studied German at the University of Warwick before responding to a call to ordained ministry. Luke was formed for ministry at the College of the Resurrection in Mirfield, where he studied theology to masters level, before ordination in 2012.
Luke served as curate in Rochdale (2012-2013) and then Salford (2013-2015), before being appointed priest-in-charge at All Saints in November 2015. Luke is actively involved in the local schools, especially Lostock High School where he serves as a governor, and he very much enjoys the training and teaching side of ministry. Luke is excited by seeing how God works in people's lives and loves to see people grow and flourish in their own life of faith.
Luke is married to Laura and is the proud father of Anna and Eric, who keep him on his toes! He is a keen sportsman, spending much of his free time cycling, running, bouldering and getting very tired on the indoor rower. Curate: Revd Mary Hough
Revd Mary was ordained priest in July 2022 and is OLM (Ordained Local Minister) curate at All Saints. She feels particularly called to the pastoral side of ministry; she enjoys listening to people and praying with them.
Mary is from Liverpool originally but has lived in Manchester for nearly forty years and counts herself as a Mancunian! Before ordination she worked for Trafford Council in the Library Service; she took early retirement in November 2020 to focus on her training for ordination and to give her more time for ministry.
Mary enjoys walking; she and her husband David holiday in Scotland every year and love walking there. Mary also loves reading and baking. She has a son and daughter and two lovely grandchildren; she loves spending time with family. Mary can usually be contacted any day except Thursday and Friday. At All Saints I currently hold various positions including Churchwarden, Gift Aid and Electoral Roll Officer. I've lived in Manchester all my life and studied Politics at Durham University. I’m married to Deborah and currently work in a senior leadership role in the education sector.
